Renovations to O’Connor Hall, located on the campus of the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s St. Paul Seminary, occurred across three phases which included infill of an existing Olympic size pool to create the Cardinals’ Great Hall, converting the locker rooms into a catering kitchen, turning ancillary spaces into meeting rooms and complete renovation of the Auditorium. Work included intricate finishes such as mahogany wainscot and bulkheads with cove lighting, acoustical panels that hide speaker systems, new sound system throughout, new auditorium lighting and seating, upgraded HVAC, accessibility upgrades and folding acoustic partitions.
Volpatt Construction initially provided Pre-Construction services for the Cardinals’ Great Hall project which was competitively bid. As the successful bidder, subsequent phases were negotiated GMP’s which included additional Pre-Construction services. The project was completed on time and within the Diocese’s budget.
