PROJECT SUMMARY

Nearly 20 years in the making, the Philippine Nationality Room is marked as the 31st of a limited collection of rooms inside the Cathedral of Learning, a dedicated space in the heart of a campus landmark, committed to representing cultures and heritages from around the world.

In April of 2018, Volpatt Construction was awarded the opportunity to transform an existing 470 SF space into a precise depiction of an 18th century Philippine house, while serving as a functional, modern classroom for up to twenty-seven students.

The design of the classroom required customized materials and installations, from the delicate seashell window pane and plank wood flooring, to the custom pelmet entry way.

Every inch of this room had a purpose held together by a generation of thought and consideration behind its very creation. It was Volpatt’s responsibility to execute this vision, and that’s exactly what we delivered.
