The Korean Heritage Room is 30th of the famed Nationality Rooms housed on the 1st floor of the Cathedral of Learning. This room designed to replicate a typical Korean home, combines 14th century Korean culture with modern technology to create a functional learning space. Due to limited elevator space, Volpatt Construction was required to hoist columns and rafters to the 3rd floor of the Cathedral of Learning. Coordination of oversea materials and utilizing a full-time translator on the jobsite contributed to a challenging project.
